2024-2025 AGM and National Council Election

Help the SSPA achieve its goals and objectives by joining us on the National Council.

We’re calling on passionate community members to join the council to make a difference in the lives of short statured people and their supporters. Being on National council will mean you can collaborate on the work and the activities we do. We are seeking individuals from all perspectives, short statured, parents and supporters. There is no criteria for joining the council, we are eager to seek wide perspectives as well as various skills. We are eager to get young people as well as people who want to shadow an executive role for election in future.

By volunteering you help the SSPA maintain a sustainable program of events and activities.

Nominations for election of persons for positions on National Council may be made on the nomination form here and forwarded to the National Secretary at [email protected] before Sunday 20th October.

It is suggested that the following is taken into consideration when nominating a member for election on National Council:

• all states are represented

• gender representation is equally spread

• knowledge of and experience within the SSPA.

The following positions must be filled: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Journal Editor, Membership Secretary, Overseas Liaison Officer, Sports Coordinator, Short Arts Collective Coordinator, and a minimum of three Ordinary National Councillors. Individuals need to be members for the 2024-2025 year to sit on council. President, Vice President and Secretary roles need to be filled by a short statured person.
